Wyneken Mailing List Moved to a Google Group

As part of the recent changes at 99b.org, the Wyneken mailing list was moved to a google group. If you click mailing list in the top list of links, it will take you directly to the Google Groups page. Feel free to get an account -- Google groups work very similar to a combination of mailing lists and forums. It's a very nice service and I look forward to using it as this project grows.

Wyneken 0.5.2 Released!

The Wyneken Project is proud to announce the immediate availability of Wyneken 0.5.2!

Please see the following information concerning this release:

Wyneken 0.4.1 Released

Today, we have released Wyneken 0.4.1. As 0.4 was the last GTK stable version (unless someone wants to help with the gtk version of the 0.5.x series), we have updated it to work with python 2.5. It still works with python 2.3 and python 2.4. This is a minor release.

Change in Versioning for Releases

From this point forward, Wyneken versions will be numbered as follows:

All odd numbered releases (ie 0.5, 0.7, 1.1, etc) will be considered unstable releases. All even numbered releases (0.6,1.0,1.2, etc) will be considered stable releases.

This change will be made to help package maintainers who can't easily parse versioning such as 0.5_aluminum.

The next release of Wyneken will be 0.5.2 and will be based on Qt4 as opposed to GTK2. Reasons for this move will be published at the time of the release. If you are really curious, the draft document lives in SVN/dist/usr/share/wyneken/wyneken.wp.
